DISHER Named 4th Best Consulting & Professional Services Firm in the US

(Zeeland, MI) – Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine have named DISHER, the product development and business consulting firm, the 4th Best Workplace for Consulting & Professional Services.

Great Place to Work (GPTW) is the global authority on high-trust, high-performance workplace cultures. Through proprietary assessment tools and certification programs, GPTW provides the benchmarks and framework to recognize outstanding workplace cultures. Their research analysts evaluated the workplace experience at more than 600 certified great companies and over 30,000 employees in the professional services industry. The results have been published through Fortune, its longtime partner for the annual ranking of 100 Best Companies To Work For.

“As consulting service companies evolve to tackle new, more challenging problems with their customers, the people side of their workplace must raise its game,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of GPTW. “The Best Workplace companies get this. They have built great cultures with empowered employees and are seeing a payoff in business results. The companies on the Top 20 Consulting and Professional Services list stand out from their peers for work environments that are particularly free of favoritism, well-managed, democratic and fair when it comes to profit sharing and pay. And these leading employers get a ‘return’ for their great cultures through higher levels of cooperation, loyalty and employee willingness to go the extra mile.”

DISHER and the other Top 20 companies were selected based on anonymous responses to the Trust Index©, GPTW’s employee assessment survey. Employees assessed the levels of trust, pride, and camaraderie they experience in their workplace.

“Every person is an owner at DISHER through the ESOP,” says an anonymous employee from the survey. “Therefore, everyone is involved in making decisions for the better of our company and customers. The people involvement here is unbelievable. Everyone cares about everyone and everything. So key decisions are made by the people, not just management.”

Employee-led decisions have been instrumental to building DISHER’s consulting services around market strategies, product development, process improvement, business results, as well as people/talent management.

“Our company’s success with our customers depends on the talent, creativity, and enthusiasm of our people,” says Jeff Disher, Founder and President. “Since 2000 we have been committed to our mission statement to ‘Make a Positive Difference.’ We are very intentional in how we build a healthy culture that brings out the best in our employees. We’re thrilled that our employees rate our workplace highly, and that GPTW and Fortune are recognizing our positive culture.”

The Best Workplaces in Consulting & Professional Services is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based upon employee survey feedback from GPTW certified organizations. DISHER is also ranked the 21st Best Small Company and the 4th Best Company for Giving Back nationwide.
