DISHER and Centric Lead Innovation Workshop with OneAmerica®

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – DISHER, a nationally-ranked product development firm with offices in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Zeeland, Michigan, recently hosted a two-hour ideation workshop for a cross-functional team from OneAmerica in partnership with Centric. “The workshop was an amazing step in our journey towards innovation,” stated Derek Clinton, Enterprise Innovation Leader at OneAmerica. “DISHER was awesome!”

On May 23, 2019, DISHER led a Building a Culture of Innovation workshop, with OneAmerica in partnership with Centric.

Centric is a non-profit organization whose mission is “to increase recognition of the state of Indiana as a global center of innovation by equipping individuals and organizations with the critical thinking skills and cultural framework needed to drive innovation forward.” Centric teams up with DISHER to help drive innovation with their partner organizations like OneAmerica.

Dayna Beal, Discovery Business Lead at DISHER, and his team facilitated the workshop. According to Beal, “Innovation is an interactive, iterative, human-centered approach to creative problem solving. It is a process that always focuses around the user.”

DISHER employs a human-centered approach to innovation.

Beal focused on what he calls the secret sauce of an innovative culture. What is it? Collaboration. Beal got the group of 70+ participants from OneAmerica to practice collaboration and build on the ideas of one another through various individual and group activities. “It was great to see this group of financial services folks break out of their comfort zone and collaborate together,” commented Anna Briggs who leads the Indianapolis office for DISHER.

The team from OneAmerica ideated around a real problem statement.

“Creating and vetting the best ideas in a systematic way is just part of our innovation process,” smiles Beal. “We love to transform the top ranked innovative concepts into working realities for Fortune 500 companies to entrepreneurial startups alike. We streamline the process for organizations saving them valuable time to get new products to market through user-centered research, strategic ideation, industrial design, rapid prototyping, and conceptual engineering.” If you want to learn more, visit disher.com or centricindiana.org.
