The Michigan West Coast Chamber announced their 2015-16 Business Champion award winners in their August issue of Connect magazine. Winners were nominated by members of the Chamber. To qualify for the award, the small business must be a West Coast Chamber member, be in business for more than five years, and exemplify the best of small business in the West Michigan community. This year’s featured winners included Brett VanderKamp of New Holland Brewing Company for Small Business Person of the Year; Leslie Brown of Metal Flow Corporation for Business Leadership; Jeff Disher of DISHER for Business Leadership; and Rosemary Castro of Pro-Tax and Notary Services for Minority-Owned Business of the Year.
In 1999, Jeff Disher envisioned an engineering service company that provided dependable customer service with expert engineering knowledge and experienced skill sets. His mission from the start was to Make a Positive Difference with his customers, community, and employees. Today DISHER is a nationally-recognized product development and business consulting firm with over 130 business, design, and engineering team members who help customers solve a variety of challenges. DISHER’s mission remains the same as the company continues to create Ripples of Influence™ that impact their neighbors here and abroad in a positive way.
